All over social media people are taking the Dalgona Coffee challenge and posting their creations. We are stuck at home and cannot go to our favourite coffee shop or starbucks then I decided to make myself a glass of coffee. It's time to make the viral Dalgona Coffee that has taken the world by storm! If you're not a fan of coffee, you can swap it out for cocoa powder or milk tea instead.
Dalgona is a sweet-tasting milky coffee. However, not many people know that dalgona, or ppopgi in Korean, means "honeycomb toffee". Dalgona coffee, which originated in South Korea, requires only three ingredients- instant coffee, sugar, and hot water. Then they was mixed together until it become creamy and then adding it to cold or hot milk.
Sugar (40ml)
Hot water (40ml)
Fresh Milk (180ml)
Coffee (1 sachet)
A bowl
Whisk
How to make Dalgona Coffee:
Put 1 sachet of coffee into the bowl.
Pour the sugar into the bowl.
Pour hot water into the bowl.
Whisk the mixture until it's fluffy and light.
Pour a glass of fresh milk and add ice into a glass.
Top your glass of milk off with whipped coffee mixture.
